A Workshop titled “Insight to Embedded Systems Using Raspberry Pi” was organized by the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering and Advanced Image Processing Cluster of Sri Ramakrishna Institute of Technology on 28^th of October 2023, Saturday from 9.00 am to 4.00 pm. Mr.S.Munaf, AP(Sr.Gr)/ECEwas the Faculty Coordinator and Mr.S.Thiyagarajan AP/ECE is the resource person for this program. The resource person started the session by explaining about embedded system and its key characteristics thought real time examples of applications which we come across in day-to-day life. He elaborated the development tools and programming languages used for developing embedded systems. Later he provided a gist on networking in embedded systems followed by the insight to raspberry pi and its key features helpful for embedded system development.  The hands-on training started with instructions for setting up the raspberry pi and followed by doing hands on, on interfacing a LED and controlling it with and without push buttons, measuring distance using ultrasonic sensor, using cloud to store sensor data and controlling applications via web. About 25 student members participated in this program and got benefited. Mr.S.Munaf, AP / ECE department proposed the Vote of Thanks.
