The Department of Information Technology at Sri Ramakrishna Institute of Technology conducted a two-day workshop on “OS Installation and Troubleshooting” on April 22, 2024, and April 23, 2024 (from 9:30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m.) at Seminar Hall III at Sri Ramakrishna Institute of Technology. The resource persons for this event are Mr.N. Yuvaraj, M.E., Assistant Professor, Department of CSE, Ms.U. Elakkiya, M.E., Assistant Professor, Department of IT, Mr.D. Mahendran, M.Sc., Lab Instructor, Department of IT, and Mr. R. Saravanan, B.Sc., Network Engineer, Sri Ramakrishna Institute of Technology, Coimbatore. The resource persons were explained about the concepts of computer hardware components, operating systems and their history, installation of operating systems, and networking basic concepts. In the afternoon session, practical sessions were handled. Thirty-nine students from the first year of various disciplines participated in the workshop, and the program was very useful to the students by giving them knowledge on the basics of operating systems and troubleshooting.
