The Department of Computer Science and Engineering has organized a webinar on “API Testing with Postman” on 01/11/2023 (Wednesday) between 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM, through the Google meet platform. The lecture in this webinar was given by Ms. Pankaja Harshini, Quality Analyst, Thoughts work, Bangalore, Karnataka.

Ms. S. Hebziba Jeba Rani, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science and Engineering delivered the welcome address and introduced the resource person Ms. Pankaja Harshini to the participants. Around 50 students from third year Computer Science and Engineering attended the event.

Ms. Pankaja Harshini has delivered a lecture on the topic “API Testing with Postman.” She covered the basics of Software Testing, types of testing, real time examples of software testing, API Testing, API testing methods and tools. She explained about the importance of API testing in Software Development Environment. She specifically focused on the popular tool for API testing “Postman” and explained the impact of Postman tool in making API testing more efficient and effective with features such as request builders, response visualizations and test automation.

We received good response from the students and, they gave very good feedback. The resource person thanked the organizer for arranging the live webinar. At the end of the webinar Ms. S. Hebziba Jeba Rani, Assistant Professor delivered the vote of thanks. She thanked the resource person, Faculty members and participants for their active support for making the programme to be successful.
