The Inaugural of Mechanical Engineers Association (AZPOMERZ) for the academic year 2021-2022 took place in SRIT. The Chief guests for the event were Mr. G. Muthukrishnan, Manager, Industry Institute Relations, FANUC India Academy, Bangalore, and Mr. R. Rameshbabu, Manager, Training, FANUC India Academy, Bangalore. Mr. P.Sivarama Krishnan Secretary of, the Mechanical Engineers Association delivered the welcome address. while Dr. B. Chokkalingam, Professor &Head delivered the presidential address.

The chief guests delivered technical talks on  Robotics and Automation. They spoke about the importance of automation in today’s manufacturing sector and also described the current challenges and recent trends. The session was very Interactive. After the session, the faculty advisor introduced student office bearers of Azpomerz 2021-2022.  Mr.Satyavrat Mitra Joint secretary delivered the vote of thanks.
