The department of Electronics and Communication Engineering of Sri Ramakrishna Institute of Technology conducted a Webinar on “Simulation of Microstrip Antenna Using HFSS” through Google Meet. The resource person for this Programme was Mr.K.Karthickeyan, Application Engineer, Entuple Technologies Pvt. Ltd., Bengaluru. He briefed about the design procedure of microstrip antenna, microstrip line calculator, HFSS software & ACT window in the software and the steps to calculate quarter-wave line transformer’s width and length. He simulated and displayed the results of voltage standing wave ratio, reflection coefficient, two dimensional and three-dimensional radiation patterns of the electromagnetic fields. He had also shown the animated results of various microstrip antennas. Eighty-Two students of Sri Ramakrishna Institute of Technology participated in this webinar and this programme was very useful for the students.
