The Youth Red Cross of Sri Ramakrishna Institute of Technology conducted an awareness programme on “Blood Donation” through online mode. The resource person for this programme was Dr.P.Ravindran, Medical Officer, Blood Bank, Indian Red Cross Society, Tamilnadu branch. He briefed about blood components, the volume of blood in the human body, criteria for blood donation, risk behaviour, physiological status of women, blood donation during Coivd-19 and post-donation care. He created awareness and developed an attitude of blood donation among students. Seventy-Eight students of Sri Ramakrishna Institute of Technology participated in this awareness program and the programme was very useful for students.
