The Guest Lecture titled “Recent Trends on IoT” was organized by the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at college premises. Students from II year ECE attended the programme. The session was handled by Mr.B.Premchander and Mr.J.Zahirhussain, Team members from Gateway Software Solutions, Coimbatore. This presentation started off with the devices used in IoT like sensors, network connectivity devices and so on. Further an introduction to the embedded system was given followed by an interactive session over the latest advancements in IoT technology took place. Topics such as development of innovation in the design of IoT and its global dominance were also discussed. The presentation was concluded by stating the current trends in IoT based industrial scenario where skilled and trained engineers are preferably hired.
