National Voter’s Day is celebrated in India on 25th January every year to mark the Foundation Day of the Election Commission of India. As part of this occasion, on 24th Jan 2023, the Voter’s Pledge was administered to the students by the Principal of Sri Ramakrishna Institute of Technology. The Head of the Department of EEE, Dr.C.R.Hema along with the Head of the Department of S & H were present during the event. All the tutors of First year B.E./ B.Tech. assisted the students in taking the pledge. The Students pledged to uphold democratic traditions of our country and the dignity of free, fair and peaceful elections without being influenced by considerations of religion, race, caste, community, language or any other inducement.The pledge was undertaken to motivate young voters to exercise their privilege to cast a vote in free and fair elections in a free democratic country.
