Faculty Development program for the Technicians on “Electric Vehicle Architecture and Integration”

A Faculty Development program for the Technicians  on Electric Vehicle Architecture and Integration” was conducted by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) and Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering from 07.12.2022 to 09.12.2022.  The resource person for the programme was Mr.S.Veerakumar, Assistant Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering, SRIT. The program Started with a welcome address by Ms.D.Poornima, Asst.Prof/EEE who also emphasized the need for such intra college knowledge sharing programs.

DAY 1: The agenda of the session was Introduction about Electric Vehicle Architecture. The resource person explained in detail the components of  the EV, different types of EVs and their characteristic features, different power train architectures etc. The session was very helpful for the technicians to get an initial theoretical understanding of the EV.

DAY 2: The second day started with the calculation session for the battery and motor selection . The participants were shown the parts of the EV developed by Mechatron Motors, a startup of SRITians. The participants were very eager to ask their doubts and the resource person was very prompt in answering them.

DAY 3:  This day started with the hands-on session on the assembly of the electric vehicles. Participants were shown how to remove the part clean/service them and how to assemble them back

All the participants expressed their satisfaction in the conduct of the event and said that it was very knowledgeable.
