Youth Red Cross Unit of Sri Ramakrishna Institute of Technology conducted an awareness programme on “HIV/AIDS” on 28.10.2022 at the college premises. The resource person for this program was Mr.K.Selvan, ICTC, ART, STD Counsellor, Primary Health Centre, Pooluvampatti, Coimbatore. He briefed about the origin of HIV/AIDS, world statistics, national statistics, the spreading ways of HIV/AIDS, stages and symptoms of HIV infection, HIV in body fluids,  ways of preventing HIV infection, condoms, ABC approach, window period, Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs), positive living and HIV medicine.  One hundred and twenty-six students of Sri Ramakrishna Institute of Technology participated in this awareness program and got benefitted.
