As per the instructions from Principal Secretary to Government, An awareness program on “DRUG FREE TAMILNADU” has been organized by the NSS unit of SRIT. The resource persons for the program were,

1) Mr. Rajapandian, DSP, Perur Police Station

2) Ms, Selvakumari, Inspector of Police, Perur Police Station

3) Mr.Lourduraj, Sub-Inspector, Perur Police Station

The resource persons in their speech insisted that the government of Tamil Nadu has been conducting various awareness campaigns and taking severe actions against the ‘manufacture, consumption, traffic of narcotic drugs’. As it is the responsibility of the Tamil Nadu Police Department to restrict the entry of narcotic drugs into the state, the Department of Narcotic Intelligence Bureau is integrated with the Alcohol Prohibition Enforcement Unit by the government of Tamil Nadu to become an anti-drug unit that operates full-fledged across all the districts of Tamil Nadu. The students took a pledge against drug abuse.

A drug-free society is the only path for the state’s industrial development! The way towards an intelligent and healthy society!
