Youth Red Cross unit of Sri Ramakrishna Institute of Technology in association with Coimbatore District AIDS prevention and control unit organized an awareness rally on World AIDS Day to create an awareness among the public in Perur on 01.12.2022 from 10:00 am to 11:30 am. The rally started at Perur Taluk Office and ended at Perur Chettipalaym. Ms.M.Selvakumari, Police Inspector, Perur Police Station inaugurated the rally. Ms.S.Indumathi, Perur Thaseldar delivered the World AIDS Day Awareness Rally pledge and Ms.K.Selvan, ICTC, ART, STI Counsellor, Government Primary Health Centre, Pooluvampatti, Coimbatore delivered the AIDS awareness speech. Dr.R.M.S.Parvathi, Professor and Head, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Sri Ramakrishna Institute of Technology presided the rally.  Two hundred and twenty eight students of Sri Ramakrishna Institute of Technology carrying placards took part in this rally to create awareness among the public and youth on HIV/AIDS.
