The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering of Sri Ramakrishna Institute of Technology conducted an online guest lecture on “Control of Electrical Drives using Software” through Google Meet. The resource person for this programme was Ms.D.Thendral, CTO and Co-Founder, AntCorp Technologies Pvt Ltd, Coimbatore. She first gave an introduction about the main application of Electric Drives, Electric cars. Then she explained what the importance of the drive is in an electric car, what are the important parameters to be taken into consideration during the design of the drive. She then went on to give an introduction to the various software used for the simulation of these drives. 30 students of EEE participated in this event and has given an insight into the scope of our students in the field of electric cars.
