NSS SRIT organized “Ban on Single Use Plastic Items” program in the college campus on 22.10.24. The Indian government launched the Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan (Clean India Mission) to make India cleaner and free from open defecation and litter. The mission includes provisions for plastic waste management, such as promoting waste segregation at the source and setting up plastic waste management systems. As a part of this program NSS SRIT volunteers created awareness among the students on the ill effects of Single Use Plastic Usage and campaigned about Waste Management. The program was organized by Dr. V. GopinathaManikandan NSS PO and Mr. P. Karthikeyan NSS support coordinator.
