The Department of Mechanical Engineering in association with Mechatron Motors (a student’s start-up of SRIT) organized an Inaugural Function of “National Level Electric Bike Design Challenge (EBDC’22)” Season 1 contest for Engineering and Diploma students from all over India at Sri Ramakrishna Institute of Technology, Coimbatore. The Chief Guests for the function were Mr.K.R.N Manoj, Director Operations, PumoTechnovation India Pvt.Ltd., Coimbatore, and Mr. M. Karthi, Business Development Manager, Emf Innovations Pvt Ltd., Coimbatore. The event was started with a welcome address which was given by Dr.B.Chokkalingam, HOD/MECH, and a detailed explanation of the event was given by Mr.B.Varun, Assistant professor (Sl.Gr)/MECH. Both the chief guests delivered a guest speech importance of Electric Vehicle design and some of its aspects. The Inaugural Function was finally ended with a vote of thanks given by Dr.D.Binu, Associate professor/ECE. Workshop event session 1 was conducted from 11:30 AM – 12:30 PM which was delivered by the chief guest Mr. K.R.N Manoj on the topic “Electric Bike Design Factors”. Session 2 was started from 2:30 PM – 4:00 PM which was jointly delivered by Mr. M Karthi and Mr. L.A Sethu Raj on the topic “Retrofitting vehicle”.
