CORNUCOPIA 2020 – A National Level Technical Symposium, was organized by ASCONIC – Association of ECE Department in SRIT premises. The symposium was inaugurated by Sri. A K Mohammed Azad,Senior.Director –Sales and Business Development,Mirafra Software Technologies Pvt. Ltd., Hyderabad. Mr.P.N.Sabari, Secretary/Asconic, Final year ECE welcomed the gathering. Ms Arpitha D.G.L Treasurer/Asconic, Final year ECE briefed about the Symposium, Cornucopia 2020 to the audience. Dr.H.Mangalam, HOD/ECE delivered the presidential address. Dr.S.Anila Professor/ECE and Faculty Coordinator for ASCONIC introduced the Chief Guest to the gathering. The Chief Guest in his inaugural address stressed the importance of Linkedin and how it helps the students in getting connected with the industrialists and the recruiters of their domain and to know their expectations. He also explained the training and the skill set that are to be acquired by the students before facing the interviews. He illustrated the concept of the latest technology with his self-biography. He insisted that the students should enhance their coding skills irrespective of their branch of study. Mr.S.Shayam Sundar, Joint Secretary/Asconic, Third year ECE proposed the vote of thanks. Around 60 external participants from various colleges in and around Coimbatore participated in the various technical and non-technical events. The technical events include Paper Presentation, Project Expo with a poster presentation, Circuit debugging and technical Quiz. As many as 16 technical papers were presented by the students. The winners were awarded cash prizes, memento and certificates.
