The Youth Red Cross of Sri Ramakrishna Institute of Technology conducted an awareness programme on “Disaster Management” through online mode. The resource person for this programme was Pulavar R.Manickam, District Secretary, Indian Red Cross Society, Chengalpattu District. He briefed the importance, types of disaster management and how to manage the disaster. He also explained first aid methods, the role of volunteers in disaster management and the features of the National Disaster Management Authority.
