Department of Civil Engineering organized “PANORAMA 2K23” – A National Level Technical Symposium on 28.02.2023. It is organized by the Department of Civil Engineering every year for the students to present their innovative skills. In its 15th Edition of PANORAMA since its inception in 2007, the event took place in a grand manner. Dr.K.Murali , Professor and Head – Department of Civil Engineering & Controller of Examinations, Dr.Mahalingam College of Engineering and Technology, Pollachi has graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The function began with the Tamil Thaivazhthu. Mr.Kathiravan , Final Year Student – Secretary of the Civil Engineering Association has welcomed the gathering. Dr.B.Chokkalingam HOD- of Civil Engineering delivered the presidential Address. Mr.R.Sudharshan, Assistant Professor of Civil Engineering gave the overview of PANORAMA and its achievements in all 14 previous editions. Dr.K. Murali Chief Guest of the event has motivated the students with his inspiring words. He briefly described the recent trends and future advancements in the construction industry and why Civil Engineers will always be wanted by this world. He also shared the need for self-assessment that needed in every stage of life in one’s career to be successful in this competitive world. Mr.K. Sambath Assistant Professor of Civil Engineering delivered the vote of thanks. Nearly 220 plus students from 42 Engineering colleges all over the state participated in various events such as Paper Presentations, Quiz Competitions, Techno-connect and other events. Internal and External Panel members from various reputed institutions around Coimbatore have graced the events with their presence. Cash prizes and mementoes were awarded to the winners of various events and Certificates were issued to all the participants of the events. This National Level Technical Symposium has been a great platform for all the participants to express their talents in various domains.
